So I spent New Year’s Eve with my sister my 3 cousins and a 17 year old who is their new best friend
The only problem with that is I hate the 17 year old because essentially my cousins replaced me with her when I went to college which is fine and dandy and whatever but my cousins were getting her drunk and high at 15, wouldn’t go anywhere without her and oh did I mention they’re all 4-7 years older than her. So besides the fact that I could never spend time with them (because honestly what college student wants to hang around with a typical high school freshman) I knew that they were doing super illegal shit with a 15 year old
But anyways, New Year’s Eve, so I was partying and raging and ingesting jungle juice and Jell-O shot after Jell-O shot and I got really drunk and my cousins and sister who I’ve known forever made a huge deal about it and made fun of me and made me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed …. while the 17 year old was my ally … she hung out with me and joked around with me and was nice and fun and no one else was….
long story short in my head that put all of them in their places. They may be older but they certainly aren’t wiser. In a world as fucked up as this, I shouldn’t have to turn to a 17 year old to understand me, they’ve all been there and they currently were there so why they decided to be butt holes is beyond me but

The moral of this story is, sometimes the people you’ve always known won’t have your back like a drunk stranger in a bathroom will (they don’t have to be in a bathroom the lesson is still the same)
